According to Section 409(h)(1)(C) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, food contact substance notifications (FCNs) are effective only for the listed manufacturer and its customers. Other manufacturers must submit their own FCN for the same food contact substance and intended use.
Intended Use: Intended for use as a flavoring agent and flavor enhancer in multiple food categories and use levels. Crush Dynamics states that the intended uses exclude infant formula, infant foods, foods for young children, foods where standards of identity preclude the use, and products under the jurisdiction of the United States Department of Agriculture.
